Description

Bloomberg, Cornell Tech, and Tech:NYC invite you to join us for the latest installment of the CornellTech@Bloomberg series, featuring Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO and co-founder of VaynerMedia, partner at Vayner/RSE, and four-time New York Times best-selling author.

As a true master of branding, Gary Vaynerchuk believes that dedication to building a strong brand and an engaged community is an entrepreneur’s greatest asset, serving as a magnet for opportunity. It is this dedication, combined with his innate business acumen, razor-sharp sales tactics, and unrelenting work ethic, that has led him to successfully identify opportunities and create and lead multiple prominent businesses.

As a serial entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and author, Gary Vaynerchuk has established himself as an influential member of New York’s venture capital, digital media and startup ecosystem. His entrepreneurial journey began when he was a child, where he used his natural charm to build multiple small, sales-focused businesses. From there, he helped his father build one of the first e-commerce wine websites, using content marketing to grow Wine Library into a multimillion-dollar company. This experience laid the foundation for his focus on building brands throughout the rest of his career.

Gary is also an early investor in multiple successful and emerging companies, including Twitter, Tumblr, Venmo, and Uber. In this role, he serves as a thought leader and mentor to both established and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Gary will be joined on stage by Bloomberg’s own Scarlet Fu to discuss his entrepreneurial journey and the importance of building a brand, as well as offer advice on building successful businesses as both an investor and entrepreneur.
